Can You Have More than One SoulMate?

A person can have more than one soulmate, but they don't have to be sexually active with them all, because "gluttony is worse than hunger"(Sylvester Graham).

We can definitely have multiple soulmates, if you can consider that our best of friends are our soulmates in a sense. There are people that are put in our life that just run with us, that fit how we live, motivate us to be better and complement us in every way.

I say this knowing that even many animals have monogamous relationships. The strongest animals are monogamous like lions, wolves, penguins(penguins used to be 5 ft. tall), etc. Which raises the question, "If animals can be monogamous, why not people?" "A man is going to be a man" = bullsh!t. "Men are dogs", well dogs are descendants of wolves and many wolves are monogamous creatures. People have too many excuses for exhibiting reckless behavior.

Soulmates are people that walk through life with us, maybe not hand and hand but heart and heart. They are people that we can't seem to live life without.

So now that you have the short answer to a question posed and provoked by a friend, what is your opinion? Can you have more than one? Do you think your friends are your soulmatea? How do you define a soulmate?
